Getting started
Add the people who matter, then tap a person on the rings for their next small step. Tap Pip to record a Quick Moment. You can select more than one person and activity, or write your own. UsJot Plus is optional.
Just journal
Open Journal, choose My days and Write about today. Write freely or use the optional prompts. A day-journal page does not move your connection rings.
Edit an entry or change who was there
In the UsJot update, open a saved moment's menu and choose Edit entry. Change its title, note, date or participants, then save. For a day-journal page, choose Edit this page. Participant tags on day-journal pages do not create connection credit.
For a shared moment, retained participants keep their linked record and removing someone changes only that moment. If an older group cannot be linked safely, the app explains the problem rather than guessing.
Add photos and videos
A memory can contain up to five photos or short videos; each video can be up to 60 seconds. Use the entry editor to add photos later within that limit. If an iCloud Photos item cannot be imported, check your connection and that the item can download in Photos, then try again.
Purchases and UsJot Plus
- Open More → UsJot Plus → Restore purchases if purchased content did not unlock.
- Apple manages subscriptions and activity-pack purchases. Use your Apple subscription settings to manage a subscription.
- The name change does not create a new purchase. Use the Apple account that made the original purchase.
- Individual activity packs are one-time purchases. Family Sharing applies where Apple shows it for the purchase.
Private iCloud backup
Backup requires UsJot Plus and a device signed into iCloud. Use the in-app backup controls to create, list, restore or delete backups. Restoring replaces the current local journal: create a fresh backup first if you need to preserve it. A backup is not automatic cross-device sync. If backup fails, check iCloud storage, network access and your iCloud account.
Widgets and Apple Watch
Open More → Widgets & plans for widget setup and previews. Names and photos are off by default. Opening a widget or pinning an activity never automatically logs a moment.
For Watch, open UsJot on your paired iPhone and keep both devices nearby. Allow a moment for information to refresh. Check the success status when logging a Watch moment.
Keep your data during the update
Install the update over the existing app. Do not delete the app to change its name. Before resetting or reinstalling, make sure you have a usable backup or export of anything you want to keep.
